Casparus werd geb. 3-10-1737 Rotterdam, doop 8-10 aldaar, als zoon van Pieter Jacobs van Overzee en
Elisabeth Flores Eilbracht. Hij overleed 10-9-1709 Geertruidenberg, begr. 12-9 aldaar.
Hij trouwde 1-6-1785 Geertruidenberg Sanderina van der Haar, geb. 18-3-1757 aldaar, doop 20-3, overl. 8-7-1844 ald,
dochter van Jacob Janse van der Haar en Margarita Steenhoff.
Bij het huwelijk was hij 48 jr, zij 28 jr en al 6 maanden in verwachting en ze kwam uit een keurige familie.
Maar zijn moeder had bezwaar ! Ze had waarschijnlijk gewild dat hij in hogere kringen zou trouwen,
zoals enige van zijn broers en een zuster.
Na een aanschrijven van de Schepenen voor Huwelijkszaken van de Stad Geertruidenberg gaf zij middels haar notaris
Petrus Constantinus van Rijp te Rotterdam, te kennen dat zij van mening was dat het voorgenomen huwelijk
'ruineus en nadelig' voor Casparus zou zijn, maar zij kon niet anders dan 'gedogen'.
