In the mid to late 1940’s, Dini and I were pen-pals --- for perhaps two years. I lived in Davidson, North Carolina, at the time and was eight and nine years old. Dini lived in Enschede during that period. It was such a pleasure to correspond with her, and I don’t recall why our letters ended. I’m sorry they did. It was only recently, during this COVID-19 shutdown, that I’ve been thinking more about my young life, and I remembered Dini. I’m so sorry to hear that she passed away some years ago. I send my sympathies to her family, and if anyone reads this, I’d very much like to hear about Dini’s life as she grew older. Thank you.
