Paste your dataset with persons in CSV format in the text box below. Each line has either 3 columns (a URI / ID / GUID, a personal name and a year of birth) or 2 columns (a personal name and a year of birth). A line with column headers should be omitted.
The match process ignores all persons without a valid birth year. If a name is written as "last name, first name" this is rewritten to "first name last name" When a name contains text in brackets, it is removed.
The personal name and the year of birth are used to find birth and death certificates and registrations. Matching by name (and year) is exact.
The following information is displayed with the found records: event type, event location, source type and archive. The information is linked to the URI of the record on Open Archives.
The input dataset is not saved on Open Archives, also the matches are not saved on Open Archives. However, the matches in JSON format can be downloaded via the "Download Matches" button that becomes visible after a match process.
This proof-of-concept uses the Records/Match API that is publicly available.
