During the Second World War, the Germans sold properties whose owners were mostly Jewish. The administration of this can be found in the so-called Verkaufsbücher that the National Archives keeps. The administration kept in the Verkaufsbücher contains the addresses and names of the original owners, the brokers involved and the war buyers.
