Collections » Population register

Description

As of January 1, 1850, Dutch municipalities were given the legal obligation to keep a continuous population registration. Until 2014 this was done in the Municipal Personal Records Database (GBA). In 2014, the GBA was completely replaced by the Personal Records Database (BRP). The population register is a continuously updated register of residents.
